Looking forward to the Valencia book…a place that holds a spot in my heart! Best memory was being caught in a rain storm with my fighter pilot husband of two years (we were stationed at TorreĆ³n AFB just outside Madrid in the 70’s) and the water running down the gutters of the street having to jump the water to duck into a cozy restaurant where we were served a wonderful steaming Paella Valenciana , vino, and how the crusty bread was always placed on the tablecloth not on a plate. We were enjoying time alone….at last… as we drove from Parador and seaside hotels along the coast for 5 days often just grabbing a loaf of bread and some vino and chocolate to sit by the seaside for a picnic lunch. and the salt spray on the balcony in the mornings with cafe and churros. Can’t wait to read your images
I’m writing to you with tears in my eyes having just finished The Singing Trees. What a beautiful story. I fell in love with all the characters and felt I was living among them, sharing their incredible lives. You are a gifted writer and, full disclosure, while reading the Red Mountain books thought you were a woman! You seem to be privy to the secret hearts of women. Thank you for sharing your art.
